Didcot -based Cuban Salsa and Latin dances teacher
Welcome to Cuban Salsa Didcot, a vibrant space where the rhythmic beats of Cuba come alive in the heart of Didcot. I’m Lourdes 'Kueen' Correa, a Cuban-British dancer with a passion for sharing the rich cultural heritage of Cuban Salsa. I was born in Guantánamo, Cuba, and my love for dance was inspired by my aunt, a renowned dancer and choreographer. Since founding this studio in October 2025, my goal has been to ignite a love for dance in my students, offering a fun and engaging environment where we can all learn and celebrate the joy of movement together.
With professional training that includes choreography work in Romania in 2008, I blend traditional Cuban Salsa 'Casino' with other Latin dance styles to create an authentic experience. My classes cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced dancers, ensuring that everyone can find their rhythm while enjoying the camaraderie that comes with dancing. At Cuban Salsa Didcot, we’re not just a dance school; we’re a community where energy and passion flow freely. I joined the Cuban Salsa Christmas Party Trial and had a great experience learning the basics of Cuban salsa. It was really nice meeting new people and Kueen. Kueen moved around the room and involved everyone with her incredible energy and passion. You can really feel the love for Cuban salsa, which made the experience even more special.
The trial was fun yet serious and professional; Kueen skilfully and clearly showed us some basic steps of Cuban salsa and a few other typical Kumba steps. She conveyed positive energy and passion, well done. I found the schedule and timing ideal, and the location convenient with car park and facilities available.
